Islander Promotions presented their third show on the Mainland this weekend and their 2nd at the Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene, Oregon. The Rise Fighting Championship "Bragging Rights" brought a pumped up Mixed Martial Arts crowd to the Hometown of the Oregon Ducks, and gave them one of the best MMA Main Event bouts a promotion could give. Enoch Wilson from Team OJJ out of Tigard, Oregon took on Hilo, Hawaii fighter Harris Sarmiento from the 808 fight factory. Beforehand, both fighters spoke of throwing strikes and standing up for the knockout so the crowd knew going into this bout that it was going to be exciting, but Wow!... These two fighters fought a war and pushed each other back and forth. Round one the fight almost ended in a foot submission as both went for heel locks. The fight went up and down with both fighters getting mount and side mount and landing strikes, but it was Harris who got the better of Enoch this night. Harris landed numerous right hands to the jaw and head of Enoch who took them and suffered through with unbelievable ability to take a punch. Enoch himself landed a great knee in the second as Harris displayed his ability to take a hit and signaled Enoch to keep it coming. Round two ended with a couple hard right hands by Harris and a nice left kick to the body by Enoch as the crowd was on their feet screaming them on. Round three was the same with Harris landing right hands and Enoch almost finishing a guillotine choke, but in the end the judges scored it 28-29, 27-30, 28-29 for the winner Harris Sarmiento.

Impact Jiu-jitsu fighter Andy Lukesh became the new 145lb champion by beating Dave Moreno in 44 seconds by Guillotine choke. Both fighters rushed each other with flying knees and as they collided we knew this was going to be a fast paced fight, right up until Dave got caught in a tight choke ending his night.

Jordan Sutton of Team Art of War took a pounding from Lions Den fighter Devin Conkling right up until he submitted Devin with a Rear-Naked choke at 3:52 of round two. This fight was controlled for most of the fight by a very strong Devin, but Sutton stayed in and kept going for submission working the rubber guard and looking to end the fight. Devin slipped out of a couple submissions until he got caught and choked out for a very tough loss.
