Rise Fighting Championship: Hawaii vs Mainland - April 28, 2007

In only their 2nd show after a successful debut last July in Portland,  Rise Fighting Championship spared no expense in putting on an excellent show of professional MMA action. 7 fighters from Hawaii came to the mainland to take on some of the Northwest's best but unfortunately for them the night belonged to the mainland as not a single member of Team Hawaii was able to secure a victory. However, none of the fights disappointed the crowd as every fighter gave it their all.  During the intermission, UFC veteran and Jiu-jitsu instructor for BJ Penn's MMA, Renato "Charuto" Verissimo was introduced to the audience and spoke about coming out of retirement.  All in all this was a fantastic night for MMA in the NW.
