Cindy Hales' Youth Grappling League packed over 90 youth & teen grapplers, along with coaches, family, & friends, into the Ring Sports United gym in Bellevue WA on Sat June 25th for the YGL's first ever event: the 2011 Summer Classic. Open to kids 17 years old and under, teams from Oregon and Washington took part in this fun and exciting event that provided a safe environment for these young athletes to compete, have fun, and meet other young grapplers. The overall team winners for the day was the squad from Sleeper Athletics based in Seattle, with Gracie Barra Seattle/Bellevue coming in 2nd, and just behind in 3rd place was the team from Five Rings Jiu-jitsu located in Portland OR.
