On February 8th, the United South East Asia Cultural Association (USEACA) presented "Fight Night", a Muay Thai/Kun Khmer smoker event, hosted by South Sound Martial Arts (SSMA) in Tacoma WA. 4 amateur Muay Thai bouts plus 3 exhibitions bouts took place, with the fighters showcasing their talent and skills in the ring for the full house.
In the main event, Bobby King, repping United Source Muay Thai, scored a TKO win over Joseph Briggs.
Hard-striking fighter Marcus got a W by landing some big knees and punches, dropping Hiro Sit-Chaisai twice and prompting a corner stoppage between rounds.
Axtion Club's Shamii Goh of Seattle won via decision over Alex Garland of Nak Muay Gym Vancouver Island. This was an entertaining battle that featured good striking from both fighters.
3 Exhibitions bouts went down with Mike Sit-Chaisai sparring with both Spencer Srouey and Johnny Two Feathers, while Sopaul Nhep gained some valuable ring experience with Sam Sit-Chaisai.
Opening the event was a kids bout that went the distance between Brycen and Loy Sem. Both young fighters put forth 100% effort but it was Brycen's sheer output of kicks that won him the day.
USEACA / SSMA will hold a Pro/Am Muay Thai show this coming May at the Nisqually Youth Center in Olympia WA. Learn more about the USEACA at useaca.com.
