United Combat Sports LLC,
headed by Vicious
Fightgear
owner Charles Grijalva, put on their 2nd fight night on March
13th from the Salem Oregon State Fairgrounds with a total of 15
cage fights being held including 2 professional bouts and 1
title fight.
UCS promoter
Charles Grijalva and friends
UFC
fighter Nathan "The Rock" Quarry was in the house
cornering fighters Peter Aspinwall and Anna Folkkeson. Quarry
was introduced to the crowd and promised a war with opponent Jorge Rivera
at the UFC's Ultimate Fight Night on March 31st.
UFC
and IFL veteran fighter, Reese Andy, was also on hand as the
provider of the large full-size cage used for the fights.

The main
event featured Team Chaos' Jake McKnight taking on Independent Chris Ensley in a Pro 165 lb bout. McKnight looked
impressive in victory over the wily Ensley, eventually taking
over and winning via a Ref Stoppage TKO by Strikes early in the
2nd.
The
Co-main Event was a Pro Middleweight contest between Peter Aspinwall,
representing Team Chaos & Next Level MMA, and Alive MMA's Rob Criswell.
Criswell caught Aspinwall early, opening up two cuts over
Aspinwall's left eye, that forced the referee to temporarily
halt the contest. The ringside physician cleared Aspinwall to
continue and Aspinwall came out hard, taking down Criswell and
throwing elbows and hard punches on the ground. In the 2nd, he
dropped Criswell and eventually took his back to win the fight
by Rear Naked Choke.
13 amateur
bouts were also held, finishing up with the United Combat
Sports Featherweight Championship between Arsenal's
Elliott Alleman and Team Chaos' Matt Slosser. The pair had met previously and
had fought to a draw, and this contest was no different in how
evenly matched the two fighters are. For five rounds, Alleman
and Slosser battled it out in a thrilling contest with the
fight eventually being determined by the judges scorecards. 2
of the judges gave the fight to Alleman and the third to
Slosser for a Split Decision victory for Alleman.

UCS 145 lb Champ Elliott Alleman
United Combat
Sports LLC will be hosting their next fight event May
