United
Combat Sports and the Sub League presented the United Combat Sports Submission Tournament on
January 22nd from inside the Oregon State Fairgrounds Pavilion, as
part of "The Resolution 2" which is UCS's annual Health, Fitness, and
MMA Expo. The tournament was extremely well run by the Sub League
crew with both Gi and No-Gi divisions going down. The tourney
followed the Sub League rules where matches end in a win, lose, or draw. There are no points, just submissions,
providing for plenty of action. Numerous competitors took part -
men, women, and kids - nearly double last years tourney. A couple
of notable MMA fighters participated: Bellator fighter DJ
Linderman and UFC fighter Rick "The Horror" Story.
Story wound up
winning the Advanced No-Gi division.
