A
very special fight night of Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA
took place at the Tacoma Convention Center last Saturday
to benefit the ACRES
OF LOVE
organization which provides love, medical care and
permanent homes to orphaned, severely abused and abandoned
babies and children in South Africa, many of whom have HIV
and AIDS. The event was put together by Marc Valdes,
president of NW Concrete Waterproofing Inc, in conjunction
with Chaisai
Muay Thai
run by former Muay Thai champ Alberto Ramirez and Ariana
"Bling Bling" Ramirez who starred in the reality
TV show "Fight Girls". The team put on a
fantastic event that had 10 evenly matched bouts,
including 2 title fights, that kept the crowd very
entertained.

commentary for the fights was Ariana's co-star in
"Fight Girls", the lovely Lisa
"The Black Widow" King,
along with the legendary Aric Wiseman who is a long-time
fight promoter (Ax
Fighting Championships,
ect) and owner of Alderwood
Mixed Martial Arts.
The ring announcing for the evening was ably handled by Jake
"The Professor" Stratton.

all proceeds of the event went to Acres of Love, it would
not have been possible to put it on without the generous
help of the many sponsors and volunteers who came forward
with money, time, and energy to make it happen. The list
