Hector Lopez in action at the EQC this past February
Tacoma, Washington (April 16, 2015) For years, Yakima, Washington has built a reputation for producing great fighters. Whether in a boxing ring or an MMA cage, fighters from the small, central Washington town are a force to be reckoned with. Yakima MMA’s Hector Lopez (4-0) fits the mold perfectly; and on April 25th, from the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Lopez will look to keep his unblemished professional record intact against Canadian Gurdarshan Mangat (6-1).
Since his first professional bout in August of 2013, Hector Lopez has been winning over Northwest fight fans with his fast-paced and aggressive style. After forcing his first two opponents to tap out, he has won dominant unanimous decision victories in each of his last two contests. His quick and accurate striking, expert level submissions and seemingly never-ending cardio present a world of challenges for anyone that meets him inside the cage,
Super Fight League 40 will provide Lopez a chance to climb the ladder once again, presenting him with his most challenging opponent to date. Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat has fought all over the world, plying his trade from Nanaimo, British Columbia all the way to New Delhi, India. The savvy veteran should give the younger Lopez all that he can handle in a semi-main event war that has Fight of the Night potential written all over it.
