The event took place at an outdoor venue that is normally the site for auto races. Although there was a threat of rain it really did not materialize. I thought the venue was great as everyone had a great view of the action. The event was well attended with approximately 2500 fans (the local media reported 1400 but I believe that is a low estimate). Fifteen fights were on the card including: 3 boxing matches, 4 MMA matches, and 8 Kickboxing matches. The Fighters came from various cities in British Columbia and there was representation from as far away as Calgary, Alberta. The matchmaking was good as all of the matches were competitive. A couple of local Victoria Kickboxers that displayed exceptional talent were Aaron and Gabriel Varga. Both of the Vargas used a balanced of kicks and strikes to win decisions over good opponents. The crowd was enthusiastic and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
