Sudden Impact Live "Caged Aggression 3" - May 7th, 2010

 On May 7th, the Sudden Impact Live crew set up shop at the historic Temple Theater once again for another edition of their MMA Fight League. Fighters from around the Sound and as far away as Hawaii took part in 11 amateur cage fights that provided plenty of thrills for the large crowd.

 

 In the main event, Kina Peneueta, fighting out of Gamebred Jiu-Jitsu, retained his Sudden Impact 185 lb title by proving to be too much for Team 808's Bradley Arakaki, forcing Arakaki to tap from strikes early in the 2nd round.

 

The Co-Main Event saw Active Martial Arts' Oliver Parkinson beat Evolution MMA's Mike Devose with his fists in the 2nd round of a back and forth battle that kept fans on the edge of their seats. 

 

In tragic news, MMA Fighter Ollie Tiglao, who trains out of Marcelo Alonso BJJ, lost his mother while she was away in the Philippines yesterday. A fund has been set up to help defray the costs of bringing Ollie's mother back to the States for her funeral as it will be extraordinarily expensive. Donations of any amount will be greatly appreciated and can be made at any Key Bank under the name of Ollie Tiglao.

 

Sudden Impact Live's next event will be June 25th at the Seattle Police Athletic Association (SPAA) Pavilion located in Seattle. More info at suddenimpactlive.com.
