Northwest Grapplers, Academies, Gyms, and Clubs,
The '08 Season had over 685 athletes from over fifty academies and clubs compete in its 4 events. It was nothing short of TERRIFIC year. We are proud to announce that the tradition will continue in '09!

Sub-League is back and better than ever!

 

1.

We will continue the I-5 corridor connection! For the second year, we will travel up to Seattle, Washington, and extend the Sub League's reach! More details about location to come...  save the date!

 

2.

Entry fees: competitors (Adult, Women, Teens, Youth) - $45 | spectators - $5 (at the door)

 

3.

Register online or over the phone. There will be NO registration at the door of the event. Why? To have all divisions cast and setup in advance to ensure a smooth running, timely, professional tournament. Register online at www.subleague.com.

 

4.

Entries and payments MUST be received by the Monday prior to the event at 11:59 pm (mid-night).

 

5.

The first 25 athletes to pre-register for each event will receive a FREE Sub League 09 t-shirt.

 

6.

Athletes MUST be in the bullpen at least 30 minutes prior to their estimated start times.

 

7.

Weigh-ins will be held in the bullpen just prior to going out to the mat to compete. Competitors will only have one opportunity to make the weight they register for. There will be no refund for athletes that do not make weight and are disqualified.

 

8.

We will be keeping track of team points again this year - which gym will reign supreme in '09?

 

9. Athletes earn qualification into the Championships by placing in the top five spots in a division at a qualifying event (1st - 5th place). All 1st place finishers win free entry into the Championship..

What is the Sub League?

1.

The League allows athletes to challenge themselves against the best grapplers in the Northwest.

 

2.

Adults rules have been updated / modified to reflect the optimal degree of competitiveness while ensuring safety and good sportsmanship. Adults now have 6 weight divisions and 4 skill divisions to choose from. See the website for complete rules at www.subleague.com.

 

3. Youth athletes now have 9 weight divisions and 4 skill divisions to choose from - with age appropriate rules based on skill level and maturity. See the website for complete rules at www.subleague.com.
