The Sub League made its first visit North to Seattle with its unique tournament format for the 3rd qualifying leg of the 2008 season. Over 150 competitors were matched up according to weight and skill level, and each competitor faced every other competitor in his/her pool, gaining 3 points for a submission win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. This obviously ensured many a submission attempt in each single 4 minute round match (as can be seen with the great photos below). The top 5 place finishers qualified for the Championship Event to be held on May 31, 2008 in Hillsboro, Oregon near Portland. The finals are sure to have some great grappling and should not be missed. Much more info can be found at subleague.com
