Midtown
MMA & Family Fitness Center presented Springfield Throwdown II on December 10th at the Regional
Sports Center in Springfield, Oregon, with 2 pro
and
9 amateur fights.
The main event for the Pro 145 lb Title was won by Shorty
"Pit Bull" Weikel who battled an always tough
Jason Georgianna for 2 rounds before submitting him via
armbar at a minute into the 3rd. With the victory, Weikel
remains undefeated as a pro with 5 wins. He spoke with
NWFS's Spaniard after the fight...
In
the night's other professional contest, Midtown MMA's
Levi Kurtovich returned to the cage after a long absence and it
took him just over a minute to dispatch Darrell Fenner by
way of TKO due to strikes. Kurtovich spoke with Spaniard
from the cage..
Emmanuel Sanchez out of NW Martial Arts defeated Art of War's Ryon
Harris via 2nd Round TKO to win the amateur 155 lb

of the night came from Midtown MMA's Corey Wyatt late in
the 2nd round of a 185lb bout with Alan Hahn of the Kut
