Fightscene: You just had a birthday. Didn't we do an interview last year at this time?
Sarah
D'Alelio: Yes, I just turned 30. Haha big deal. Last year at this time I was cornering for Stephanie Webber for her pro debut. Then a couple months later I had my pro debut at the Emerald Queen.
NWFS: Wasn't this fight supposed to happen a while ago?
D'Alelio:
Yes, I was supposed to fight Julie on September 4th, but she got called away to film a television show, which I don't hold against her at all. I would've done the same thing. I hear they got paid pretty well for it. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have lasted long though, simply because I'm not into doing my hair and makeup and push up bras
(laughs). Nothing against the girls who are comfortable doing that, it's just not me at all. In fact, thinking about doing anything like that makes me laugh. It's so far from anything in my personality. I'm one of the guys.
Like I said in my last interview, I would prefer to skip the whole show thing and just fight the winner!
NWFS: You two are ranked right next to each other, correct?
D'Alelio:
Yes Julie is ranked 16 on the nonstopwmma.blogspot.com
rankings,
and I'm currently right above her at 15 on the same board.
NWFS: With a victory over her, do you think you deserve a spot on the top 10?
D'Alelio:
I don't think it's really up to me to say what I deserve from the rankings people, I think how I fight will tell everyone what they need to know when it comes to rankings and stuff like that.
......
When girls do fight each other you see these epic battles, like its WW3 or something. I've walked into rings and cages and I've seen murder in more than one opponents eyes. That's when it gets really exciting, when I see my feelings mirrored on my opponents face.
NWFS: How can your fans
watch the fight?
D'Alelio:
No it won't be shown on TV, but it will be streamed live on
PPV. I hope to get some TV time real soon. You can watch the PPV here!

NWFS: Speaking of television,
MTV 2 just signed a 3-year deal with Bellator. What does this mean for women's
MMA?
D'Alelio:
It means AWESOME. I'm really excited for that to happen. I've wanted to fight for them for a while. They have such good match-ups! I think a lot of girls are going to get their shot from
Bellator. They have awesome tournaments that a lot of people watch and talk about at the gym the next day. I'm super excited to see what they do for women's
MMA.
NWFS: Do you think the pay will get better due to competition from the promoters vying for the best females?
D'Alelio:
I don't know if the pay will get better or not. I think it all depends on how much people tune in to see you. The more people you draw the bigger your check.
NWFS: Anything else you want to say?
D'Alelio:
I am always looking for sponsorship. If anyone would like to sponsor me for my upcoming fights, some of which will be televised, please contact Jason Lusk @
jasonlusk@hotmail.com.
NWFS: Is there anyone you would like to thank?
D'Alelio:
I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me. Joel Pettit and Robert Owens at BJJ Olympia
(BJJOLYMPIA.com). Olympia Cross Fit. All my training partners.
Eric Dahlberg, he is an AWESOME coach, teacher, & psychiatrist. Slade Bittler with Tussle Fight
Gear (tusslefightgear.com).
Jason Lusk. And anyone who I may have forgot.
