April 5th Event Features a Women's 115LB Pro Fight
and Two Championship Titles

Press Release from The Full Contact Fighting Federation

Portland, OR - On Saturday, April 5th the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) will host a 115-pound pro fight "Main Event" and two FCFF Championship fights at "Rumble @ The Roseland 77." The main event will bring back Glena Avila, who has been making headlines due to her documentary’s strong debut at the Slamdance Film festival in Park City, Utah. Two edge-of-your-seat FCFF Amateur Titles will be on-the-line. First, a "Champion versus Champion" match-up in the 170-pound division will take center stage; then, David Converse will try to make his mark in FCFF History. If Converse earns the 145-pound Title, he'll be the only man to earn three consecutive FCFF titles, in three different weight divisions. Tickets available at Safeway Tickets West outlets. Doors open at 6pm, fights begin at 7pm. Updated fight cards are available at www.thefcff.com.

The FCFF's Main Event will pack-the-house on April 5th. Glena Avila, a Pacific Northwest fighter, has a large fan base and is at a critical point in her MMA career. She's 2-2, with her two pro losses coming from the very best in that Nation. It's tough to find someone willing to face her in the cage. She was the FCFF's undefeated, undisputed women's Champion - holding three FCFF Championship belts before she turned pro. Her documentary, titled: “Glena: The Movie” was the result of Allan Luebke filming the fighter for almost two years. What started as a "fighting" movie turned into a story of struggle to fulfill a dream. Avila will face Katie Howard, a familiar face at the FCFF. Howard has fought eight times since 2012, taking home one FCFF Championship belt. She turned pro in early 2014 and has one win via judges’ decision against Miriam Cerqueira at CageSport XXIX.

For the FCFF’s 145-pound Featherweight Championship David Converse and Jess Moore will face-off for the vacant belt. This is a significant fight as Converse already holds the FCFF's 125-pound and 135-pound Championship Titles from back-to-back FCFF events. If Converse earns the 145-pound belt on Saturday, April 5th he will become the first ever fighter to win three consecutive FCFF Title Belts, in three different weight class divisions.

Converse first became the 125-pound Flyweight Champion at Rumble @ The Roseland 75 in December of 2013. There he submitted BJ Sannicolas via a round one armbar. In January of 2014 he took on Sean Gee at Rumble @ The Roseland 76; his toughest competition to date. Gee had earned "Best Choke" in the 2013 FCFF Fighter Hall of fame, as well as racked up a number of victories over the top guys in the Pacific Northwest. Converse came out on top after three rounds of action, earning the victory by judges’ decision. On April 5th Converse will face Jess Moore from Washougal, Washington. Moore last fought in the FCFF at Rumble @ the Roseland 70 in March of 2013. There he faced Journey Newson for the Championship and came up short via a judge’s decision loss. Newson has gone onto a professional career. Moore has his second chance.

On Saturday, April 5th the 185-pound Champion will come down in weight to face the 170-pound Champion in a "Champion Verses Champion Showdown" at Rumble @ The Roseland 77! Rod Jaques, the FCFF's 185-pound Middleweight Champion earned his Title at Rumble @ The Roseland 73; when he defeated Jake Smith via judges’ decision. Since earning this belt he's earned a second Championship title at a United Combat event with a win over Cameron Ericson via TKO. Now, Jaques's sights are set on Daniel Dieringer's newly acquired FCFF 170-pound Welterweight belt. This will be Dieringer first title defense attempt since his win over Scott Baker at Rumble @ The Roseland 76 in January.

The final belt fight on the card at Rumble @ The Roseland 77 is the Heavyweight Superfight. The current FCFF Super Heavyweight Champion, Casey Lunzman will come down in weight to face Rudy Schraffroth from Team Quest. Schaffroth's last fight was in January at Rumble @ The Roseland 76. There he defeated former FCFF Heavyweight Champion Scot Davenport via an impressive round one TKO. Lunzman last defended his Super Heavyweight Title at Rumble @ The Roseland 75 in December of 2013 against Nathan Milsap. He defended his belt with a 18 second knockout in round one. "Both these guys have impressive power, it’s going to be a great match-up," said Keeney.
