This is the region's premiere event for mixed martial arts, and is often referred to as the "golden gloves of MMA." All fights will take place in the 25-foot steel cage known to fight fans as "The Slammer." The Rumble 57 is loaded with four Championship Fights and key matchups, featuring the top mma talent in the area. The Main Event is the newly added Heavyweight Championship fight where Chris DeLaRocha of Washougal is set to take on the current Champion: Damion Martindale.

There are three other Title fights scheduled on the Card, including a highly noted Bantamweight Championship bringing the undefeated Austin Warner (5-0) into the cage to face Tyler Fryman. Fryman with a record of 4-2 is the current 135-pound Title holder for Split Decision Entertainment, a fight he took on with only five hours notice. Fryman trains under Ron Andersen at Rise Above MMA and has the goal of "becoming the 135 pound champion for the FCFF, United Combat Sports, & Budo Fights," he said.

Austin Warner, from Vancouver, Washington has his own goals "to claim the FCFF belt and make his pro debut in 2011," he explains. Warner is training at Touch M Up MMA and brings experience from convincing wins against some of the FCFF's best. At Rumble 53 on August 28th 2010 he beat local favorite Jeff Alden; at Rumble 54 on January 22nd he defeated rising star Craig Jordon due to a TKO in round number one. Additionally, outside of FCFF competition he fought in the Gladiator MMA show in December of 2010 and won the 135-pound superfight belt in round one via a TKO. Austin is no stranger to combat sports, he won the Intermediate division of the Oregon Open last fall and is a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He wrestled in High School for three years, using his Senior year to focus on fighting/mma full time. Austin is nicknamed the "Pitbull," because "...my style is very aggressive and in your face," said Warner.

"Typically everyone loves seeing Heavyweights, but I have a feeling these bantamweights could give us the 'fight of the night.' They both have great wins in the first round in past fights," said Kevin Keeney, FCFF owner and matchmaker.

In the 170-pound Title fight two highly respected names will finally collide in the cage: Ben Egli of Corvallis, Oregon will face Jason Novelli of Team Quest in Portland. Novelli just took home the FCFF Superfight belt as the Co-Main event at Rumble @ The Roseland 56 on April 23rd. There he fought Alex Jordon and won via a TKO in round number one. "Novelli isn't satisfied or stopping until wears a Championship belt," said Keeney.

The man standing in Novelli's way is Ben Egli of Corvallis. Egli is a current Oregon State University Student and, recently, represented the Beavers at the first ever "Cage fights: Ducks Vs. Beavers" event in Corvallis on December 2nd 2010. At this event Egli helped the "Beavs" overtake the "Ducks" with the help of their honorary coach: Randy Couture. There he fought John Garcia in the 160-pound division and stunned the crowd with an epic chokeout in only 25 seconds of round number one. This choke out performance also earned him a spot in the elusive "FCFF FIGHTER HALL OF FAME," as the "Best Choke in 2010."

To add to the action and drama of an already stacked fight card, John Bartlett, the current FCFF Middleweight Champion will face FCFF Veteran Josh Hitsman. Bartlett recently returned to the FCFF after a one-year absence from mma at Caged on the Coast 4 on March 26th 2011. There he took on the super-tough Corey Wyatt. He defeated Wyatt via a unanimous decision victory and on Saturday, May 21st he will attempt his first-ever title defense. Previous to Bartlett's absence he originally fought in the FCFF at 155-pounds and in 2009 he made a sustainable run in that weight division. "John seems comfortable at this weight, he is here to stay in the 185-pound division," said Keeney.
