The
52nd Rumble at the Roseland was another fantastic night of top
level amateur MMA action for The Full Contact Fighting Federation,
headed by UFC Star Chael Sonnen and his partner Keven Keeney. Both Chael and Kevin talked about the
historical
significance of the Rumble at the Roseland, one of the nation's
longest running amateur fight series and certainly one of the
finest.
Chael also talks about his upcoming fight with Anderson Silva for
the UFC Middleweight Title at UFC 117.
14
bouts took place from "The Slammer" including the FCFF's
first ever female Main Event which had FCFF 125lb champ Glena
Avila taking on Tia Spurlock for the Women's 115lb Title. Avila
made quick work of this one, catching Spurlock in a guillotine
choke on the feet and holding it to the ground for the tap at 1:30
of Rd 1.
Be
sure to check out video interviews of Glena both Pre & Post
Fight below,
along
with additional pictures of the fight further down this page.
In
the Co-Main Event for the FCFF Men's 155lb Championship Belt, Tommy Leisman
submitted Clint Patterson by way of Triangle Choke to become the
new Champ.
Rumble
at the Roseland 53 takes place August 28th at the Roseland Theater
