Portland, OR - On Saturday, August 23, the Full Contact Fighting Federation returns to the Roseland Theater for Rumble @ the Roseland 38. Come see the best mixed martial artists in the world competing on the highest amateur level and fighting for the right to receive a professional contract. With over 15 mixed martial arts cage fighting bouts scheduled for this night, there is no better entertainment in the Northwest. Get your tickets now because Rumble @ the Roseland always sells out!
In the main event, for the FCFF Middleweight Championship, Crae Bassett, of Reality Combat out of Hillsboro, OR takes on Colorado's Kenneth Seegrist. Seegrist had his first MMA fight ever in the FCFF two years ago and he returns to Oregon with a record of 8 wins and no losses hoping to fly home with a belt around his waist and a pro contract.
In a featured fight, Dennis Parks of Armstrong MA will have his last amateur MMA bout of his career, as he takes on All-American Wrestler from Wyoming, Justin Tortora. This 145 pound Superfight is unique because it's Dennis Parks's final appearance in the FCFF and in amateur MMA entirely; he's becoming professional after this fight. Justin, on the other hand, is a very decorated wrestler, and will make his MMA debut August 23rd with the
FCFF. Justin's first MMA bout, just happens to be for an FCFF Superfight Championship! Both competitors have great wrestling skills and feel very comfortable on their feet trading punches. You definitely don't want to miss Dennis Parks's last fight in the FCFF.
Another fight of interest will be Correa Vs. Moore. Andreas Correa, of Next Level Martial Arts, faces off against Jess Moore of Universal Fighters. Jess, a crowd favorite from Camas, Washington looks to rebound from his last fight, which was his first title defense, and a hard loss by unanimous decision to Eddie Dahlen. Andreas, born and raised in Sweden now trains under Greg Thompson at Next Level Martial Arts, the same gym as Dahlen. This fight will be interesting because Correa, who does not possess the same wrestling skills as Dahlen, will likely keep this bout on upright, resulting in a stand-up war.
