2nd Pacific Northwest Jiu-jitsu Championships - Sept 30th, 2006 Yesler Community Center - Seattle, Washington Pictures by Michael Angelo & Mike Renouard With over 200 competitors taking it to the mat, the Yesler Community Center near downtown Seattle was certainly a lively place to be this past Saturday Participants chose to put their Jiu-jitsu skills to the test in either the traditional Gi (White, Blue, Purple, Brown, & Black belts) division or No Gi (Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced) division. Winners won medals and gained the satisfaction that at least for this afternoon they were the best in the Northwest. Bart Smith, Head Instructor at the Spokane Rigan Machado BJJ school did an excellent job in organizing this event and certainly will be holding future Jiu-jitsu tourneys.
