On Friday, March 26th, Miesha "Takedown" Tate squares off against Zoila Frausto on the main card of Strikeforce Challengers from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. NW Fightscene's Jason Lusk had a chance to catch up with Miesha for a quick pre-fight interview...

NW Fightscene: Northwest fans are excited to see you back in the spotlight fighting for Strikeforce. What's new with you?
Miesha Tate: Well, all the hard work is done now, its just time for to have some fun and fight!

NWFS: What can you tell us about your opponent?
Tate: She's 5-0. I'm fighting her in her hometown and she's a striker.

NWFS: Are you living in California yet or still in Washington? Is the move still in the works?
Tate: We are still in Washington, the move is in the works!

NWFS: Any special training or diet for this fight?
Tate: I just trained for Zoila for this fight, I have a good gameplan for this fight and I feel very confident going into the fight! Diet is just a normal healthy diet.

NWFS: This is your 3rd time fighting for Strikeforce. What do you think about not being on the event poster?
Tate: It's Zoila's hometown so that's why she is on the poster, it makes sense but I definatly think I'm the bigger name, but in Fresno she has more of a draw, I'm sure.

NWFS: Since your last fight with Strikeforce, you've put together 2 impressive wins. Sarah Kaufmann now holds the 135 lb. belt. How do you see yourself against her in a 5 round fight?
Tate: I would just be happy to fight Kaufman with 5-minute rounds, the more time the better for a ground person. I think it would make for an awesome rematch.
