Interview

Landon "The Show" Showalter
will be entering the cage for what looks to be the last
time this coming Sat October 15th when he takes on MMA
veteran Shonie Carter in the main event of Rumble on the
Ridge XX at the Snoqualmie Casino. After 12+ years of
competition as an MMA fighter and going up against the
likes of Chris Leben, Matt Lindland, Dennis Hallman, and
Pete Sell, Showalter is calling it quits to concentrate on
his family, his gyms and growing fight team, and on his
submission tournament, the Arlington Submission Challenge.
In this interview, Landon talks about his retirement fight
with Shonie Carter, looks back on his career, talks about
his gym and his students, and gives tribute to his
longtime coach and friend Charles Pearson.
NW
Fightscene would like to thank Landon for
taking the time out of his training to talk with us. He
will fight October 15th 2011 in the main event of Rumble
on the Ridge XX at the Snoqualmie Casino against Shonie
Carter in a 180 lb contest. More info on this event is at Coga-MMA.com
or SnoCasino.com.
