While most promoters shy away from putting on fights the same night as a UFC event is held, the XCC and Kesler's Bar and Grill brilliantly combined the two, with fans filling the place to capacity to watch UFC 81 on one of the many TV's around the bar, while catching live amateur action in between the lengthy pay-per-view breaks.

The 9 live fights did not disappoint with all of the combatants putting on spirited performances and giving the fans their money's worth. The fight of the night was a three round war between Real World Fighter's Marques Daniels and Extreme Couture's Elliot Alleman. The bout was a back and forth affair with both fighters never once letting up in trying to finish the other off. After three rounds, two of the judges gave the bout to Daniels while the 3rd called it even for a majority decision victory for Daniels. The main event for the night was a scheduled heavyweight fight between Robert Gibbs and David Orso, but when Orso did a last second disappearing act, a lighter than heavyweight Danny Wurley stepped up. Wurley was certainly game in trying to stand toe-to-toe with a much bigger Gibbs but paid for his bravado with a right cross that dropped him to the canvas cold at 37 seconds of Rd1.
