King of the Cage, Inc and Magnaflow Exhaust products presents, "WILD CARD". Thursday, May 17th at the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel located in Worley Idaho. Trevor Prangley makes a sentimental journey fighting again in his home town where it all started. Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort hosted one of his first MMA fights in 2001. Trevor said that as his career winds down it's appropriate that it winds down to this venue and that he's come full circle. He likes knowing that the people who watched him fight there 11 years ago will be there to cheer him on again. Since then Trevor has fought for all the top MMA organizations in the world, and says that fighting for King of the Cage completes the gamut of internationally recognized promotions and he is very excited about it.
He adds that in Coeur d'Alene, the MMA community sees that with King of the Cage breaking into the area, it brings Mixed Martial Arts into the spot light in a positive way". As owner of the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) in Coeur d'Alene, Trevor trains some of the best fighters in the area and sees King of the Cage as a huge opportunity. His opponent, "Gorgeous" George Stork fighting out of BJJ Spokane, has taken this fight as an opportunity to increase his value and notoriety in MMA and his record as he no doubt will try to counter out Trevors, Division 1 wrestling with his Brazillian Jiu Jitsu to keep this fight standing.
Another great match to keep you excited is King of the Cage veteran Lyle "Fancy Pants" Beerbohm vs Chris Ensley. Both fighters have not entered the cage in over a year and see this opportunity to prove that a year off to train, will make all the difference in their strategies to overcome the other.
This show is going to be the perfect event to settle a long standing rivalry. Jordan Cook vs Jacob Harkness were matches anticipated as amateurs that would never transpire. Now they get to settle it as professionals in front of over 100 million homes.
The rest of the card is made up of some very successful amateurs who hail from the Coeur d'Alene Idaho areas. All of them have winning records and are ready to go pro but see this debut in KOTC, as just the beginning for them on the King of the Cage circuit. We see many of them going forward with KOTC and being part of our up and comers who will go far.
This event will be filmed for broadcast and available in all Dish Network, Direct TV homes and about half of the cable customers homes. Viewable by over 100 million. It will air between 3-5 times on each station beginning in June. The stations include MSG+, Comcast Sport Net California, Cox Sports, Altitude, TCE "Mid Atlantic"and "Philadelphia".
