GENESIS "Rise of Kings" - June 27th, 2009

The latest in the Genesis Fights amateur fight series took place June 27th at Shoreline Community College just North of Seattle.  12 bouts were held including 3 kickboxing, 2 submission, and 7 MMA matchups. The main event was for the Genesis Fights 135 MMA Title which was handily won by Demetrious Johnson over Luis Contreras. Demetrious will make his Pro Debut at the King of the Cage event on August 15th in Everett.  The co-main Event had Champ Taurean Washington successfully defend his Genesis Fights 170 MMA belt over James Benson.
