CenturyLink Arena - Boise, Idaho

Press Release from Front Street Fights

Boise, ID (8/15/14) –Colton Vaughn rebounded after a tough first round, getting the best of George Stork in the second round in the Main Event at Friday’s Front Street Fights, presented by Bodybuilding.com, in front of nearly 2,000 fans at CenturyLink Arena.

Vaughn (6-4) was in real trouble midway through the first round after Stork (7-9) landed a series of big right hands. The 23-year-old was able to survive until the end of the first round before taking control in the second. Vaughn got Stork on his back and pinned both of the 31-year-old’s arms before going to work with repeated elbows to the side of Stork’s head. Vaughn was able to open two severe cuts on Stork, causing the referee to stop the fight at the 2:25 mark of the second period.

In the co-main event, Talon Hofman (7-7) fought a technically-sound fight in defeating Matt May (12-5) via unanimous decision. It was the second fight for these two, with Hofman winning both via unanimous decision.

In the other professional fights, Joe Hamilton of Twin Falls landed a big right knee on Boise’s Brendon Raftery late in the first round to take control, scoring a win in his first professional fight when Raftery was unable to answer the bell for the third round.
