Decision Entertainment presented Fight Night VIII:
Juggernaut from Club Zoo in Vancouver, Washington on July
31st. A whopping 19 amateur MMA bouts were held including
2 Title Fights, 1 Superfight, and the Semi Finals of the
Split Decision Entertainment Grand Prix tournament.
In
the main event, Alive MMA's Damion Martindale took home
the Heavyweight Championship belt via Unanimous Decision
after five rounds over Rico Martinez of 503 West Coast
Jiujitsu. In the Co-main Event for the Middleweight
Championship, Silas Davis out of Alive MMA and Team
Quest's Justin Hernandez also went five rounds in an
exciting back and forth battle that was the fight of the
night. This one was too close to call and in the end the
judges saw it as a unanimous draw.

Night IX: Ground Zero will take place on September 11th at
Club Zoo and will feature the Championship bouts of the
Grand Prix with Gustavo Bessa (503WCJJ) taking on Brent Messinio (Team Quest)
for the Lower Weight Title, and Jason Lambert (Redneck Militia)
going up against Joe Iopa (Gladiator MMA) for the Upper
Weight Title. Two title fights will also take place at 170
lbs and 135 lbs.
