Fight Night XXV: The Coliseum - December 10th, 2011

Split Decision Entertainment, headed by Trent and Heather Standing, closed out a banner year for their promotion with Fight Night XXV: The Coliseum at Inferno Fitness & Sports. With a whopping 19 amateur MMA cage fights, the event delivered plenty of bang for the buck and fight fans came out in force. In the main event for the Split Decision Welterweight belt, Sean Johnson repping Truitt's Recruits took out 503 West Coast Jiu-jitsu's Pieter Mikkelsen at 1:19 in the first round via TKO on the ground. The Featherweight Title was won by Alive MMA's Tyree Freshner over Scorpion MMA's Don Wheeler, also by first round TKO.

 

Brave Legion's Tommy Takemoto marches on getting a 2nd round KO in a 170 lb Superfight with Midtown MMA's Trevor Close. And Takemoto's teammate, Hamza Salim, beat Rise Above MMA's Paul Sims late in the third via TKO to win their 205 lb Superfight.

 

Split Decision has a big things in store for 2012 starting off with Coastal Brawl 2: Legacy on Jan 14th at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds in Astoria OR.
