Split Decision Entertainment
presented Fight Night XIII: Seasons Beatings this past
December 11th at Club
Zoo in Vancouver, WA. A total of 12 bouts went down
including a Heavyweight Title fight and a Heavyweight
Superfight. In the main event, Damion Martindale out of
503 West Coast Jiu Jitsu took out Andy Eichholz via a
second round arm triangle to win the Split Decision
Heavyweight Title.
Controversy reigned in the Heavyweight Superfight between
Rico Martinez of 503 WCJJ and Scotty Parker of Mathers MMA.
This was definitely fight of the night and it went the distance
and to the judges
scorecards, and that's where the trouble began. Parker was
originally given the victory and the belt, but after the
fight it was realized that a mistake had been made, the scores re-tallied
and it looked like they were in Martinez' favor. As
of now, the bout has been declared a No Contest and the
Athletic Dept of the State of Washington has been asked to
make a ruling on the result.
Both fighters spoke to NW Fightscene's Spaniard about the
fight and the aftermath...
Split
Decision Entertainment head, Trent Standing, talked with
Spaniard after the event and explained what happened with
the Martinez-Parker fight and the judging...
9
additional MMA fights and 1 Submission Challenge also took
place including Knockout of the Night delivered by
independent fighter Billi Benning.
Split

Sandman" Standing and Heather Standing. They plan a
