Nooksack River Casino & Fight Night Entertainment presented Fight Night "Round VIII" Caged Warriors on Friday, June 11th in an outdoor show at the casino. UFC Heavyweight star, Junior Dos Santos, was present, signing autographs and greeting fans and had this to say to NW Fightscene... 

NW Fightscene: You've been in the Octagon five times now. Five wins, five finishes. Is your next fight with Roy Nelson finalized now?
Junior Dos Santos: Yes, true now. I'm going to fight Roy Nelson August 7th, UFC 117 and yeah, I'm excited for this.
NWFS: So what do you think about Roy Nelson?
Dos Santos: I think Roy is a tough guy, dangerous. But I think I'm a better athlete than him. The fight's going to be awesome. Watch!
NWFS: You're training with Nogueira and Anderson Silva, is that right?
Dos Santos: Yes, I train with the guys and Nogueira brothers too. I'm a lucky guy for having these guys together with me.
NWFS: Is this your first time to the Pacific Northwest?
Dos Santos: Yes. Good place, good people. Everybody likes me here. (laughs)

A total of 10 fights took place, including 3 professional contests. The main event was a pro fight in the middleweight class and John Heath, representing Team Crawford out of Portland, OR, took home a submission armbar victory over the Irish Hit Squad's Jared Torgeson late in the third round.

In another pro bout, James Marohl out of Arsenal Combat Sports looked strong in his submission win via Rear Naked Choke early in the first over the West Coast Fight Club's Jason Crawford.

At 135 lbs, Pro Omar Avelar out of Moses Lake quickly took out Arsenal's Derrik Nichols at just 44 seconds into their contest.
