Press Release from The Full Contact Fighting Federation

Corvallis, OR - On Thursday, December 2nd the Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) along with the Intercollegiate Fighting Federation (IFF) will host the inaugural "Ducks vs. Beavs" Cage Fights event, LIVE from the historic Gill Coliseum. There are TWO Championship fights on the card in the Welterweight and Lightweight divisions, plus two celebrity coaches: Randy "The Natural" Couture for the Beavers Team and Chael Sonnen as the Duck's Team Honorary Coach. The fight card has 18 fights and many notable match-ups and mma newcomers "to watch." Tickets start as low as $10 for students with a valid ID at www.ticketswest.com.

In the Lightweight Championship undefeated rising mma star Shamseddeen Moussaoui (3-0: BEAVER) of Next Level MMA will challenge the current FCFF Champion: Tommy Leisman (7-1: DUCK) of Sherwood, Oregon. Both men bring a unique background to the cage. Moussaoui is an Oregon State University graduate and Division I OSU Wrestling Team "Walk on," which is a rarity in the sport. While Leisman, a University of Oregon graduate never wrestled in high school, but instead brings an extensive Judo background to the cage. Leisman's relationship with mma and the University of Oregon run deep, it was only after mastering his University of Oregon Jiu-jitsu classes that his love for mma was sparked.

While most mma fighters have an extensive combat-sport history, both these men starting wrestling and mma training after High School. "At 20 I started to apply myself to see what I could do," said Moussaoui. He started at Oregon Pound in Corvallis learning Jiu-Jitsu and then became involved as an aid at Crescent Valley High School with the wrestling team. Moussaoui's skills developed at such a rapid pace that he was able to walk onto the Oregon State University wrestling team for the 2007-2008 season, after which, he moved to Tigard to pursue mma as a possible career. So far, so good for Moussaoui, he has three wins on his record, with no losses. His first win was via TKO in round number one; second win came in the second round via ref stoppage; and the third win came via a decision victory. "I can control my opponent," said Moussaoui, "and impose my will."

The current FCFF Champ Tommy Leisman has plans to keep his belt on December 2nd. He first earned the belt on July 17th at Rumble @ The Roseland 52 by defeated Clint Patterson in round number one via Triangle Choke. "Tommy's win of the Title was a big deal, he beat Clint Patterson who, at the time was on a wild winning streak," said Keeney. Clint Patterson was the only man to defeat FCFF 2009 Rookie of the Year: Jake Morris in his previous fight on May 22nd at Rumble 51.

"These Championship fights are already charged, but since each fight is "Beavs" vs. "Ducks" it's going to get even more emotional," said FCFF Matchmaker and Co-owner Kevin Keeney.

Chad James, the current FCFF Welterweight Champion will attempt to defend his Title against Nathan Orchard of Grants Pass, Oregon. "This is Chad's toughest competition to date. Nathan has a lot of heart, skill and experience... he has had more then double the number of fights over Chad James," said FCFF matchmaker Kevin Keeney. James first won the FCFF Welterweight Championship belt at Rumble @ the Roseland 51 on May 22nd 2010. James defeated CJ Beard of Idaho via tapout due to armbar in only 19 seconds of round number one. His latest Title Defense came at Rumble @ The Roseland 53 on August 28th where he defeated Rod Jaques via tapout in round number one. "No one is doubting Chad's skills or Nathan's for that matter &lets just say this fight could be the-fight-of-the-night and anything could happen," said Keeney.

James's combat experience is vast and diverse, he brings a solid foundation of wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, plus kickboxing and Maui Thai experience from a stint at The Academy of Brian Johnson in his teens. He has been active in wrestling since the age of four; with a 7th place State finish to his credit while at Tumwater High School. While stationed in Texas for the Army he officially began mma training in 2006 at the Grappler's Lair. He then left to Iraqi to do two tours for Operations Iraqi Freedom in 2007 & 2008. James is an OIF 5, 7, and 8 veteran and served two yearlong tours. He drove a 2,500 gallon fuel tanker, "...with roadside bombs all over... pretty nerve wrecking," said James. While overseas he utilized a large training room on base and begun teaching jiu-jitsu to his fellow soldiers. "The class actually became pretty large, teaching from 30-40 student three times a week," said James. Nathan Orcard, a veteran fighter from southern Oregon with 18 fights to his credit, called out Champ Chad James, "What I really want is a Title Shot against Chad James, and I know the last guy that fought him only had a record of 5-2," he said.

The FCFF is Oregon's oldest and most respected mixed martial arts organization, with its primary events in Portland (Rumble @ The Roseland) and Lincoln City (Caged on the Coast). All events are State sanctioned by the Oregon State Athletic Commission and held in the 25-foot steel cage, known to fight fans as "The Slammer." There are 18 fights scheduled on the card with the doors opening at 6 pm, fights beginning at 7. There are local ticket outlets in Eugene and Corvallis, and at
www.ticketswest.com. Prices start at just $10.

"I want to invite the fans to come out and enjoy a great night. It's good for wrestling and proceeds will go to support the sport," said Randy Couture.
