The
inaugural EPIC Fighting Championship
was held at Players & Spectators in Spokane Valley on
April 1st with 8 amateur cage fights, that featured 1
kickboxing & 7 MMA bouts, including the 1st ever EPIC
Championship fight in the main event. The title fight was
at 135 lbs and turned into the fight of the night as the
Air Force's Andrew Lawrence
and Sikjitsu's Michael Craig battled it out in a back and
forth war before Lawrence was able to submit Craig with a
RNC midway through the 4th rd.
EPIC
Fighting Championship is a production of Legacy MMA,
a Marcelo Alonso affiliate school owned and operated by Jerry and Frank
Rupinski. They teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing as
their base martial arts for MMA, and also teach Muay Thai, Judo, Greco Roman and Free Style wrestling as it relates to MMA for their fighters.
