On
Saturday, April 25th, the United South East Asian Cultural Association
(USEACA) presented "Cultural Event 2009" - an
evening of Pradal Serey/Muay Thai boxing, and traditional
SE Asian dancing. This annual event, the
2nd for the association, celebrated the beauty
of traditional South East Asian lifestyle, dance, & martial arts.
The evening started out with the Blessing Dance by the Khmer Traditional & Folk Dance Group of Tacoma,
and then a
Monkey Dance by Kinnaly Dance Troupe
 
 
  
It
was then time for 15 Muay Thai bouts which, all
sanctioned by the International Muay Thai League.
A number of great schools and clubs from around the
Northwest brought fighters including South Sound Martial
Arts (Olympia, Tacoma) Full Circle Fight
Club (Bremerton), Evolution Martial Arts (Tacoma), Total Confidence Martial Arts (Bellingham), Kalahi Martial Arts
(Burlington), Portland Thai Boxing (Portland), Chai Sai Muay
Thai (Tacoma), Iron Shin, Master Seng, Fight Connection,
and Sith R Lee. Overall a great night of fights and dance,
and fight fans should make plans to attend next year's
event. For
