We've all heard the phrase, time flies when your having fun, and that couldn't be more true for Puyallup's best kept secret, Champions Martial Arts Center.

CMAC celebrated its 5 year anniversary October 9th, 2011 and was joined by many familiar faces. North American Muay Thai Light Heavy Weight Champ Bryan Jones along side of Heavy Weight Muay Thai Champ Felipe Rivera were present as well as UFC Legend Ivan Salaverry. Hundreds of people packed the training facility to celebrate. There were autograph sessions, Xbox challenges, a live DJ, and plenty of give aways, including two autographed footballs from the Seattle Seahawks, two autographed basketball from Seattle Super Sonics Legend Shawn Kemp, and UFC Bantamweight Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson's autographed fight shorts and posters.

CMAC is owned by Eric Shields, who has been teaching Martial Arts in Puyallup for the past 15 years. Not only was he a decorated competitor, he has also been nominated to be inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, as well as having his gym nominated and awarded the Best of Western WA Award in 2009.

Along side their award winning martial arts programs for children and families, CMAC is also home to one of the biggest and best kept secrets in Jiujitsu and MMA - the Oliveira's. Coach Frank Oliveira and his son Lucas are two of the biggest secret weapons coming out of the South end. With over 43 years of Jiujitsu and Vale Tudo experience, Coach Oliveira is someone you want to train with. Having trained many highly accredited fighters in Brazil and California that have gone on to compete in Bellator and the UFC, this might just be the most hidden gem in the Pacific Northwest.

During the 5 year celebration, Shields also announced the launch of a new clothing line including two of the most impressive Jiujitsu GI's, MMA shorts, rash guards, hoodies, T-shirts and more!

Chances are you've never heard of Champions Martial Arts Center, or you have but never stopped by, well now you know...there's A LOT more happening in Puyallup than the fair. Find out why UFC Legends, World Champions and Hall of Fame Athletes support CMAC! For more information you can visit
