Ardany Mora battles with Jordan Harrington en route to victory in the main event
Since their inaugural CAGEQEUST show in March of 2012, E&R Promotions has gained the well-deserved reputation for showcasing top amateur talent from around the Pacific Northwest in evenly matched fights. For Cagequest V on October 11th 2014, promoter Eddie "One Speed" Blackburn and matchmaker Jeff "Dr Klench" Hoiby outdid themselves, putting together a stacked card of 15 bouts, that included 4 title fights and a superfight. MMA superstar Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was on hand as a special guest, and he along with the packed house at Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood WA got to witness a fantastic night of action.
In the main event, Cagequest 155 lb Champion Ardany "Batman" Mora successfully defended his title against former Cagequest Lightweight and Featherweight Champion Jordan Harrington. The fight was a barn-burner from start to finish with Harrington putting the champ in numerous bad positions throughout. Mora on his part stayed calm and midway through the 5th round executed a lightning fast armbar submission that forced Harrington to tap. Great end to a super night of fights! Afterwards, Jordan Harrington announced that he would be turning pro, and Mora surely can't be too far behind in joining the pros ranks as well.
The Co-main event was for the Cagequest Light Heavyweight Title and it was late replacement Tyree Fortune of Gracie Barra Portland who took home the belt by submitting NW Elite's Grady "Slam" Duncan with an arm triangle at 2:21 of the first round. Fortune moves to 10-1 as an amateur, while Duncan suffers his first loss against 6 wins.
Paul "The Beast Hoffman, repping the The Warrior Factory and Marcelo Alonso BJJ, won the Cagequest Heavyweight Title over Livewire MMA's Randy Zarza by locking on a rear naked choke for the finish at just 33 seconds in.
In the fight for the vacant Cagequest 170 lb Title, Evolution MMA's Fernando "No Mercy" Heredia came out on top against NW Elite's Dominique "The Domfather" Smith in a hard-fought battle, getting the rear naked choke finish at 2:40 of the 3rd round.
In a lightweight Superfight, Emmanuel "Magic" Carter of SNRG got Victory Athletics' Patrick Benson on the ground and finished with strikes for a TKO stop at 59 seconds into the second round to win the belt.
West Coast Fight Team's Marcus Mendoza became the Cagequest #1 Contender in the 125 lb division, edging Combat Sport & Fitness fighter Sean Wiliams by Split Decision.
Bad Company MMA's Nathan "Superman" Stolen beat Victory Athletics' Gator Johnson by Unanimous Decision after 3 rounds of action. The bout was for the Cagequest 145 lb #1 Contender spot but as Stolen announced he would be turning pro, Johnson becomes the #1 Contender.
In the night's only Kickboxing bout - a woman's 125 lb matchup - Laura Swanson won her amateur debut by unanimous decision over Carissa Painter.
In the 155 lb weight class, White Buffalo Warrior's Johnson Nasona kept his undefeated record intact at 4-0 by getting a unanimous decision win over Eatonville MMA's Eric Cronkhite.

Singha MMA's Jon Marc Cortez got a split decision win over Livewire MMA's Tyler Howell in a 135 lb bout.
