(Tacoma, WA) Brian Halquist Productions brings the Northwest's favorite combative sports event back to the Emerald Queen Casino for CageSport XII on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010. Doors open at 6 pm, with the first fight beginning at 7 pm. In the main event, CageSport Heavyweight Champion Matt "The Attack" Kovacs (5-3) puts his belt on the line against Portland Oregon's Nick Braker (7-7) of 503 west coast Jiu-Jitsu. Kovacs who trains out of the Arlington Kickboxing Academy, won the title last May at CageSport X, and will be making his first title defense as the Heavyweight Champion.

In the Co-Main event, former WEC star "Diamond" Ryan Healy (6-6-1) will face Eddie Pelczynski (13-7) of Idaho. This will be Healy's 3rd fight at the Emerald Queen Casino as he recently earned a KO victory from rising star Dave Courchaine back in July.

And in one of the featured fights of the evening, Lakewood's Stephanie "Wonder Woman" Webber (0-1) will face Keri Scarr (pro debut) out of Victoria BC. Webber made her pro debut back in December of 2009 at CageSport VIII and hopes to duplicate an outstanding performance. In what was easily considered the fight of the night, Webber came out banging, only to get caught by arm-bar mid-way through the 2nd round.
