CageSport MMA on May 15th with yet another exciting card
of 10 Professional MMA cage fights.
The Main Event
for the CageSport MMA Heavyweight Title had Matt Kovacs
out of Arlington Kickboxing Academy take down Corey
Williams, gain position from mount raining down strikes
until the fight was stopped 2 1/2 minutes into the first
round.
 
Patrick Prescott stepped it up against Tyson
Johnson, getting the Unanimous Decision in the co-main
event.
 
Other winners of note included Chanti Johnson with
an impressive submission victory, Carmen Casella getting
the decision win over Calvin Horton, and both Dave
Courchaine and Sterling Ford getting first round wins over
solid opponents.
Ford, after his quick win, had some business to take care of and requested that
Cagesport MMA Lightweight Champ, Lloyd Woodward, make his way to the cage. Ford
then simply asked for a rematch (to avenge his Dec '09
loss to Lloyd) and a shot at Lloyd's belt. Woodward responded by laughing at him and telling Ford that he would tear his arm off the next time.
No word yet of an official rematch put in place, so it's
stay tuned.
