Tacoma, WA, (November 27, 2012) - Halquist Productions will be bringing CageSport MMA back to the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, this Saturday, December 1st, for their 22nd installment of the most premier MMA promotion in the Northwest. Headlining fight night will be co-main events, both featuring title bouts. Anthony Hamilton (7-2) will be taking on Bill Widler (5-3) for CageSport's vacant heavyweight title, while the undefeated Julian Erosa (9-0) defends his title against one of the top west coast prospects, Drew Brokenshire (7-3).
Tickets for CageSport XXII are still available and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the Emerald Queen Casino Box office.
Hamilton, fighting out of Redmond, WA, will be making his 3rd appearance on a CageSport when he looks to prevent the California native, Bill Widler from claiming the title. The heavyweight has been all over the sporting scene as he was a collegiate All-American wrestler for Highline Community College and Pacific Lutheran University and even had a stint playing football for Central Washington University. His opponent, Bill Widler, is considered one of the tougher heavyweights on the west coast.

Perhaps the best matchup on paper that CageSport has ever seen, according to promoter, Brian Halquist, is the other co-main event, Julian Erosa vs. Drew Brokenshire for the CageSport featherweight title. Brokenshire trains out of the reputable Brian Johnson Academy in Lacey and resides in Tacoma. He will be fighting in his hometown for the first time. Erosa trains with MMA guru, Rich Guerin at the Yakima MMA gym along with UFC stars, Bryan Caraway and Miesha Tate. Both fighters are still young and have the potential to make a big splash in the MMA world. A victory at CageSport XXII will be sure to give the winner national attention as a fighter on the rise.
"I'm really excited about this CageSport. We have a world class title fight with Erosa and Brokenshire. This is a great way to end our 5th year of CageSport shows and the fans have a lot to look forward to when 2013 rolls around," said promoter, Brian Halquist, about the upcoming CageSport show.
Aside from the co-main events, CageSport XXII will also have 8 other 3 round action packed bouts that will make the Emerald Queen Casino showroom the place to be come Saturday night. The most anticipated bout on the undercard in what is expected to be a thriller is between Harrison Bevens out of Lacey, WA and Craig Jackson from Bellingham, WA. Other matchups include: Chanti Johnson (Kirkland, WA) vs. Charon Spain (Kennewick, WA), Josh Solis (Paterson, WA) vs. Travis Johnston (Missoula, MT), Richard Foster (Eatonville, WA) vs. Damion Martindale (Astoria, OR), Austin Arnett (Clarkston, WA) vs. Eduardo Torres (Wapato, WA), and Benny Vinson (Portland, OR) vs. Ronald Murphy (Tacoma, WA).
Doors for CageSport XXII open at 6 PM with the first fight scheduled for 7 PM. Halquist Productions continues to be the leading northwest promoter for mixed martial arts having had many current UFC, Bellator, and StrikeForce stars fight on a CageSport card as a way to establish their image and fight the best of the best in the area.
