TACOMA, Wash. - Two CageSport MMA titles will be on the line Saturday at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma when Brian Halquist Productions presents CageSport XIV. 

Tim Welch faces Eddy Ellis for the welterweight championship, while Trevor Smith battles Jared Torgeson for the light heavyweight crown. 

"This is the first time in CageSport history where we have had two title fights on the same card," said promoter Brian Halquist. "It really shaped up to be an excellent card. Fans will not be disappointed." 

The 170-pound Welch, who turns 21 on April 25, sports a 4-2 professional MMA record, but is a perfect 3-0 at CageSport events. Welch last fought at the Emerald Queen Casino on May 15, 2010, knocking Jose Rico out in 23 seconds.

Ellis, an 11-year veteran of the sport, has won his last three bouts and brings a record of 15-15-1 into the title fight. Ellis defeated Stryder Davis at CageSport V and Steve Berger at the Strikeforce event in the Tacoma Dome in 2008.

Seattle's Smith, who was an All-American at Burien's Highlight Community College before wrestling at Iowa State University, sports a 6-1 professional MMA record with one of his victories coming against former CageSport heavyweight champion Matt Kovacs in 2010.

Torgeson brings a 6-6 mark into the 205-pound championship bout.

Highlighting the undercard will be a heavyweight bout between Kovacs and Kyle Keeney (10-5).
