COGA Combat Games presented Battle at the Bay 6 on February 8th inside the Wa-Walton Event Center at the Swinomish Casino in Anacortes WA. 11 MMA fights took place, including 3 pro bouts and 1 amateur title fight. In the pro main event at 145 lbs, Team Avelar's Omar Avelar submitted Team Rock Solid's Taylor Parker with a rear naked choke late in the 2nd round. In a pro lightweight contest, AKA's Jeff Sweeney got the submission win via arm triangle over Sikjitsu's Will Comstock with just a second left in the first round. Ivan Salaverry MMA's Jacob Boysen scored a win over independent fighter Jesse Barich by way of 1st round rear naked choke in their pro featherweight matchup. Mamba MMA's Gagan Gill defended his amateur 145 lb title with a first round armbar of Armando Best. Battle at the Bay VII is scheduled for April 19th back at the Swinomish Casino.
