The
crew of Yakima MMA put together an incredible evening of
outdoor action as they set up their cage smack dab in the
middle of Yakima Avenue directly in front of the gym and
held a veritable MMA Festival replete with Bands, Food, Cool
Clothing Vendors, a Beer Garden, and the ARMY Climbing
Tower, not to mention the 11 amateur MMA matchups that also
took place. In the Main Event, Lightweight Fighter Charon Spain
was all over Fernando Corona, eventually pounding him down
and out at just 1:39 in the first round. Lewiston, Idaho's
George Cordova out of Team Execution and Team Guerin's
Donnie Foster of Yakima threw down for 3 rounds in a
Middleweight War that had the crowd on its feet. The judges
gave the well-earned decision to Cordova. Fan favorite,
Kyle Warner saw his hard work in the gym payoff with a
crowd-pleasing armbar victory in the second round over Mike Bennet.
