A score will be settled October 23 at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City as Heavyweight fighter "Brutal" Brendan Barrett will take on Randy "Wolf" Smith at Ring of Combat 32. Barrett (4-5) a former IFL fighter, learned that a Heavyweight named Randy Smith (6-7) wanted to fight him and was talking smack about him. Barrett says he didn't even know Smith so didn't understand why he would be saying these things but  with the fight lined up and hyped in the news, as well the back and forth trash talking between Barrett & Smith, it's clear to see Barrett is fired up about the fight.

Barrett came out to Oregon recently by way of Tuckerton, NJ & has been training at the elite Next Level Martial Arts gym in Tigard with Coach Greg Thompson. Thompson's list of world-class level fighters he trains include UFC fighter Chris Leben (who recently won back to back UFC fights in just two weeks), UFC Fighter Nate Quarry, and TUF & IFL veteran Mike Dolce.

In talking about his opponent it seems Barrett is ready to go to work, feeling as if it was disrespectful for Smith to call out a fighter like himself. "He doesn't belong in the same arena as me and especially not the same cage" said Barrett as he talked about Smith's past choice of opponents and believes Smith hasn't faced the type of fighters or training he has.

Smith trains with former UFC fighter Tamdan McCrory and when asked about the fight with Barrett he said "There is a lot of hype going into this bout with Barrett. I really don't care about that. I have a job to do and I'm going to do it. For some reason, he thinks I'm going to be an easy fight for him. We will find out on October 23rd" (Read more on Smith HERE)

Looks like we will have to wait and see which fighter the date Oct 23 will favor... will Barrett get his "Brutal" Birthday wish or will the "Wolf" sink his teeth down for the W?... only time will tell in this heavyweight battle of bad blood.
