Gavronski to take on Rose in special Friday night edition
of Battle at the Boat

Press Release from Halquist Productions

Tacoma, Washington (December 23, 2014) Brian Halquist Productions is starting the New Year off with a bang; presenting Battle at the Boat 99, live from the Emerald Queen Casino on Friday, January 9th. Headlining this stellar card will be Tacoma’s own Mike “Imagine Me” Gavronski (15-1-1 10KO’s) versus Lynnwood, California’s Louis Rose (11-2-1 3KO’s) in a 10-round main event. The evening’s action will begin at 8:00PM and will feature a stacked card, showcasing some of the Northwest’s best up and coming talent.

Following a Unanimous Decision victory in November of this year, Gavronski is looking to continue his winning ways against the talented Californian. With 10 of his 15 professional victories coming by knockout, the heavy-handed Gavronski knows what it takes to please a crowd. Fighting in his own backyard has proven beneficial to the Tacoma native, as his extremely vocal fans pack the 1800 seat EQC showroom to show their support.

Meanwhile, the equally talented Rose is looking to get back on track after suffering only the second defeat of his career, also in November of 2014. With 10 of his 14 fights ending up in the judges hands, Rose is an ironman whose cardio is never in question.

In the six round semi-main event of the evening, two Battle at the Boat veteran’s will take center stage as Vancouver’s Virgil Green (9-3 3KO’s) takes on Tacoma knockout artist Will Hughes (4-1 3KO’s). Both fighters are coming off of wins earlier this year and will have their sights set on continuing that trend.

This very special Friday night edition of Battle at the Boat will also feature undefeated Buckley, Washington native Jeremy McCleary (5-0). McCleary has proven himself a true tactician in the ring, dominating opponents en route to an unblemished professional record. The talented 20 year old has built a loyal fan base with his stellar performances, and will be looking to build upon his success with a victory over Damen Wood.

Tickets for Battle at the Boat 99 are on sale now through the Emerald Queen Casino box office and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets start at only $25. Doors open at 7 PM with the first fight scheduled for 8 PM. More information can be found at
