NABA SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT,
UNDEFEATED FOREMAN HIGHLIGHT BATTLE AT THE BOAT CARD

Press Release and photos from Halquist Productions

TACOMA, Wash. - Kingsley Ikeke will make the first defense of his North American Boxing Association super middleweight title against Zane Marks on Saturday, April 3 at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma.

Ikeke, currently ranked No. 10 by the World Boxing Association, captured the NABA crown with a 10-round split decision over Mark Woolnough on Aug. 29, 2009 and brings a record of 26-3-0 with 14 KOs into the 10-round championship bout.

A native of Nigeria who now calls Los Angeles home, Ikeke has won three consecutive fights since dropping back-to-back bouts to current WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal and top-ranked super middleweight Arthur Abraham. Both defeats came in 2005 with the latter being for the vacant IBF middleweight title. The 25-year-old Zane Marks is 17-4-1 with 10 KOs.

The Co-main event will be a six round rematch between heavyweights Andrae Carthron (3-5-2) and Freddie "Soulja" Miller (1-1-1). With two heavyweight fighters carrying a lot of power behind their punch, this fight is bound to be entertaining. These two had an epic brawl back in June 2009 that ended in a draw. They will battle again in what promises to be one of the most anticipated rematches in recent history.

Highlighting the five-bout undercard will be undefeated heavyweight George Foreman III (6-0-0). Foreman, the son of former world champion George Foreman, has scored all six of his professional wins by knock out, including five first-round KOs. The 27-year-old Foreman will meet Dale Mitchell in the four-round contest.

Also on the card is an array of local fighters including Seattle's Heavyweight Vincent Thompson (1-0) who trains out of Bumblebee Boxing Club. Thompson will face California's DJ Linderman (pro debut). Vancouver, Washington's John Heath and Tommy Davis will both make their pro-debut in a cruiserweight contest and Seattle's Darren Anzai (0-1-0) fights Portland, Oregon Super Middleweight David Combs (1-0-1).

The first bout is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Emerald Queen Casino box office 1-888-831-7655 and at all Ticketmaster outlets. Or online at
