Cruiserweight prospect Eric Fields (11-0, 9 KO's) will face Ola Afolabi (11-1-3, 4 KO's) for the vacant North American Boxing Association (NABO) Cruiserweight Title Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Emerald Queen Casino's Battle at the Boat Boxing Series in Tacoma, Washington.
It is the 64th fight in the series which is one of the most popular Professional Boxing Series in the United States. First fight is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Fields is coming off of a first round knock out of former world champion Kelvin Davis (24-7-2) which was broadcast on ESPN 2 in January. Afolabi will be Fields toughest test to date. Afolabi's only blemish on his record is to Contender Allan Green. This is a very tough fight for Eric, said Fields promoter
Brian Halquist. Ola has never been knocked down in his career
and we need to prepare for a ten round fight Halquist said. Afolabi's last three wins are over Orlin Norris (57-9-1), Michael Simms (17-3-1) and James Walton (20-6-2). This will be a great fight for the Northwest fight fans. Both of these fighters bring great skills into the ring and the NABO Title will be at stake, Halquist said.
Tickets for the six bout event are on sale at the Emerald Queen Casino Box Office and at Ticketmaster. Tickets are priced at $75, $40 and $25. For
