Gavronski vs. Hendrix Rematch to Headline
this Saturday's Battle at the Boat 101

Press Release from Halquist Productions

Tacoma, Washington (May 28, 2015) Brian Halquist Productions is proud to present Battle at the Boat 101, this Saturday, May 30th, live from the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma. Still riding the momentum of their spectacular 100th show, the Northwest’s premier boxing showcase is ready to deliver another incredible night of fights.

Headlining this stacked card is hometown hero, Mike “Imagine Me” Gavronski (17-1-1 11KO’s) facing off in a rematch against the only man to ever fight him to a draw, California native Tyrell “Hollywood” Hendrix (11-6-2 4KO’s). These two veterans first squared off as part of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights series in April of 2011, going all 4 rounds without either man gaining the advantage. The action began as soon as the bell rang, with both fighters scoring a knockdown in the very first round. With both men looking settle the score once and for all, this 10-round main event has all the makings of another classic.

In the evening’s featured semi-main event, heavy-handed Marcelino Pineda (5-1 5KO’s) of Toppenish, Washington looks to further his climb up the rankings as he competes in only the second 5-round contest of his young career against talented Vancouver native, Virgil “The Black Mamba” Green (10-3 3KO’s). With Pineda’s jaw-dropping power being put to the test against his opponents decided reach advantage, fight fans packed into the EQC are in for a war that is sure to leave the showroom buzzing.

Also featured on the evening’s undercard will be Portland, Oregon’s Ray “Lightning Jr” Lampkin (7-0 2KO’s) making his long awaited return to the I-5 showroom against tough newcomer Andres Reyes (3-0) of Yakima. Both men will be looking to keep their unblemished record intact as they lock horns in a 5-round battle.

“This fight card is pretty amazing,” said promoter, Brian Halquist. “We have two fights that are rematches from draws in previous fights including the main event. This is unfinished business and those fights were fights of the night before and I have no doubt they will be fights of the night again. In addition we have two undefeated fighters putting it on the line with Lampkin vs. Reyes; Battle at the Boat 100 was a great card and to be honest, this is even better. It’s shaping up to be one of those special fight nights!”

The evening’s action will be rounded out with an additional three undercard fights including an exciting rematch between Jason Davis and Daryl Gardner who have unsettled business from their exciting undercard fight at Battle at the Boat 100.

Jason Davis (12-10-2 3KO’s) vs. Daryl Gardner (2-5-1 2KO’s)
Bobby McIntyre (Pro Debut) vs. Guillermo Maldonado (Pro Debut)
Sean Gee (1-0) vs. Antonio Neal (3-1 3KO’s)
